The Pipeline

From HVAC Sensor to Work Order in Five Steps

1 · Physical Sensors

HVAC Sensors on Refrigerant, Air and Power

Sensor nodes go on your equipment, ducts, and rooms - sized for whatever HVAC configuration and building size you have.

2 · Edge Collection

On-Site Monitoring

Monitoring and reporting happen locally, with no exposure to the web or cloud. When deeper AI analysis is needed, captured data moves through an encrypted tunnel to the cloud, where Sentir's AI model runs and sends results back to you — by email, push notification, or SMS. That same tunnel lets us remotely monitor and maintain your system, improving uptime and shipping new firmware and features without a site visit.

3 · AI Analysis

AI Fault Detection and Prediction

Sentir's predictive AI models the data to catch what a single sensor can't see alone, identifying issues in real time and predicting failures before they happen.

4 · Owner Dashboard

Plain-Language Alerts

You see what's happening in language that doesn't require an engineering degree to act on.

5 · Tech Dispatch

A Pre-Diagnosed Work Order

If a hands-on fix is needed, your technician is provided with the diagnosis, parts list, and history before the truck leaves.

Two Phases of Service

Fix Today's Problem, Then Monitor for the Next One

The initial diagnosis and repair solves today's problem. The subscription is what catches tomorrow's before it becomes an emergency.

Phase 1 · One-Time

Diagnose & Fix

Sensors go up, the AI finds what's wrong, and your technician gets a pre-diagnosed work order. This is the project that gets a struggling system back to spec.

Phase 2 · Monthly Subscription

Ongoing Monitoring

Once the fix is in, Sentir stays on 24/7/365. Get diagnostics and plain-language alerts the moment something drifts off spec again. We flag issues; we don't touch your controls, unless you opt into our Controls beta.

FAQ

HVAC Monitoring FAQ

Is Sentir compatible with the HVAC equipment I already have?

Yes — Sentir's hardware is HVAC-agnostic and sized for any configuration, from a single rooftop unit to a full portfolio.

Do I need special IT setup?

No. Sensors install with a simple wall plug-in and connect over Sentir's own mesh network and cloud — nothing for your IT team to configure.

What's the difference between the Owner Report and the Technician Report?

The Owner Report translates what's happening into plain language you can act on. The Technician Report carries the full technical detail so whoever does the physical fix starts with answers, not guesswork.

What happens when Sentir finds a problem?

Sentir gives you a clear, data-backed diagnosis the moment something's off. If a hands-on fix is needed, your technician gets a pre-diagnosed work order before the truck leaves the shop. We're also piloting a Controls beta that can act on certain issues directly, with your confirmation.

Does monitoring cost extra after the initial fix?

Yes — ongoing monitoring and diagnostics run as a monthly subscription, priced by how many units you're covering. It's billed separately from the one-time diagnose-and-fix project, and you can cancel anytime. See Pricing for current plans.

How much does commercial HVAC monitoring cost?

Monitoring is $9.75–$12.75 CAD (about US$6.95–$8.95) per unit per month. A one-time sensor kit starts at $1,189 CAD for a Basic Kit, or from $3,499.99 CAD for a Custom Kit.

How fast can Sentir find the problem?

In our live music venue case study, Sentir identified the root cause within 24 hours of start-up.

Does Sentir replace my HVAC contractor?

No. Sentir gives your existing contractor a pre-diagnosed work order and parts list, so they fix the right thing on the first visit.

Will Sentir change my thermostat or controls?

No. Sentir monitors and flags issues only. The optional Controls beta acts only after you approve each action by text.

What does Sentir measure?

Delta T and Delta P, superheat and subcooling, latent and sensible loads, supply and return air enthalpy, capacity utilization, CO₂, and compressor and fan power.

Does anyone need to visit my site?

No. Sentir ships the sensor kit anywhere in the world, your HVAC contractor installs it, and Sentir monitors remotely. The team works from Edmonton, Canada; Savannah, Georgia; and Guanacaste, Costa Rica.
